Digital Reel Newspaper Archive

Digital ReelThanks to a generous grant from the Chapin Foundation, the Library is pleased to introduce a new searchable database of local historical newspapers called Digital Reel, now available for in-library use. This funding has enabled us to digitize our collection of The Sun News and other early Myrtle Beach newspapers, covering 1938-2017. Patrons and staff can now easily access these valuable resources with keyword search options for research and personal use.
